Codenames is the party game of the Netherlands. You play cooperatively against another team. In Codenames there are twenty-five spies on the table. One player of each team knows which ones belong to his team. Can he think of a word that refers to several words on the table?
The two rival secret services know the secret identities of the 25 spies. Their teammates know these spies only by their code names. Both teams compete with each other and try to be the first to make contact with their spies. Each head of the secret service gives clues by naming one word that relates to several are on the table. His teammates try to guess the words of their color without pointing out opponent spies. And, of course, everyone wants to stay away from the assassin.
Codenames is a party game and a huge hit at home and abroad. A unique word game, where as a team you have to find associations with as many words as possible. As the head, you try to come up with a clue using one word that relates to multiple words on the table, so that your fellow players can quickly score lots of points. There are 400 different words in the box, of which 25 are always used in the game; so you have hours of fun! This Dutch edition of Codenames contains words that are unique to the Netherlands in Belgium. You play it with two teams, with an unlimited number of players. The game also contains rules for 2 or 3 players.
